My name is Felix Dorn and I’m a freelance photographer and filmmaker specialized in reportages. I do both editorial as well as product reportages. The common theme of my photography is always a storytelling approach whereby I combine a target-oriented with an honest imagery. See my stories.
I was born in 1991 in Wiesbaden, germany, and grew up in the city of Braunschweig. In 2011 I moved to the tyrolean city of Innsbruck, Austria. I really appreciate the various opportunities the Alps offer, so that I became kind of an Outdoor Enthusiast in the past years. For studying and research purposes I’ve spent a lot of time in Latin America, which certainly had a very big impact on my personal evolution as well as on my current thinking.
I love the outdoors and I love to work with people. This is why I specialized on outdoor and reportage photography. Not only due to my work at the Institute of Geography (Working Group Development Studies and Sustainability Science) social and environmental topics are important to me. With photography I found a powerful tool to reach many people out there.
